That was before the Geniva convintion(dont know how to spell that) so it was legal.
Bombing civilian targets? WTF? Military targets were disperst among civilian populations. With flack and bombsights at the time you were lucky to be within a mile of the intended target. To hit one factory it took 50 planes and sometimes 2 or three runs on the target weeks apart. IS this more “bad america” commentary justifying current hatred of the USA? It was well planned strategic bombing that the WON the war on all fronts!!! Remember if 10 B-17’s went down, 100 of our boys died.
